My flatmate's 20th Birthday
Well, my flatmate occupant room C flat 02 just turn 20 today. Historically, this is his first birthday in the great city of London in the midst of multi-cultural East End. Gan, Sally and I started his birthday bash at 6 pm. There were 3 course in the menu. Starters, main menu and finally dessert.
While Andrew was busy cleaning up his room the 3 of us...equipped with basic kitchen utensil tried to make a meal fit for a king. My first time ever roasting a chicken... Having to use all my 10 fingers...molesting every bit of the chicken n stuffing its cavity with a whole lemon wasn't a pretty sight to see. After whole 2 hours of roasting...the brownish yellow tanned roasted chicken with a blend of aroma of honey,garlic and lemon was just irresistable.
Gan was there, taking the biggest and the sharpest knife we ever had. Slicing through each and every single leaf of the vege available. Sometimes hearing those poor thing shriek in pain...The salad with a blend of lettuce,capsicum,onion,purple cabbage,carrot...was indeed yummy licious...hehe add a bit of salt n pepper n CHEESE making it ever more tempting...
I boiled the potatoes earlier on, then Sally mashed it... While mashing it...she was complaining how stupid she was cos there is a blended and why is she still mashing the potato with the force her own force of energy instead of modern technology. But then again, it is all for ANDREW. Making a creamy mash potato was easy and the buttery smell was just huhuhu...saw sally dipping her finger and eating it... Hehe damn sedap!
Finally, the last part was pasta. Sally was the chef in this...and in the process of it she terkorban one baju...kena the pasta sauce. Added with minced chicken,loads of mushrooms and a bit of this and that...makes the perfect blend. Not to forget grilling the extra sweetcorn with butter and salt.
At 8.15 pm.... Andrew stepped into the kitchen..rather speechless or suprise. Dining in and savouring every bit of what we had cooked for him. At least he is happy and satisfied with it. All our penat lelah standing in the kitchen for 2 whole hours was worthed.
Things dont just end after dinner, here comes the main course... location change to flat 01. Mission baking 2 layer banana cake. We try to make everything as special as possible...hence including making a banana cake although we could purchase a cake easily anywhere around here. It is just to make him feel special. Emmanuel,Gan and I was in the process of making it. Im not gonna describe in full details cos its very basic and lengthy... hehe but the final product was delicious... We decorated it with kiwi fruits and whipped cream. Simple and yet... penuh dengan kasih sayang...
Clock shows 11.30 pm everything was ready. But one thing was missing Andrew himself... He went out to talk to him ma and grandma. Clock almost 12 am... and finally he came back. Everyone of the KMBians with a new friend Matt join in the dinner table... Singing the old traditional Happy Birthday song...going through the custom of making a wish... then cake cutting... Haha...the funniest part was cake feeding... You just gotta use your imagination on how Tien and Emmanuel was feeding Andrew the cake in the ever lustiest way... Yuckss! Then the rest of the friends arrived later, had a session of disclosing the Impression of Andrew.
At 1.30 am, the normal traditional of Banting was revealed. Andrew's top was stripped...he was tied with a belt to the railing beside the Reagent's Canal... David slowly poured cold water over his body... Mind you it was drizzling and the temperature was about 8 degrees. I didnt watch the whole process but i saw him coming back with an egg smashed on his head! That was a grand finale of the dessert served on his birthday...
It is pitiful, that i forgot to take picture of the dinner and that we prepared...it is again pitiful that we forgot to take picture of the cake and it even more sad...we only recorded the whole process of Andrew getting gang banged... :P on video. Hehe...but tat is not for public view...
Btw, the guys gave Andrew room frangrance and Sally and I gave him a donkey named SAE...later i take a picture of him and post it here... Damn cute wan... Hor donkey ;)
