Introduction to Oral Surgery
Well waking up 8 am in the morning to go for a tour in the oral maxilofacial surgery deparment and was sent home moments later at 9... requested to come back at quarter past 10. :( So i spent some time in the library brushing up my HHD.
At 10.15 am sharp back to square one and followed the tutor touring around the department, later we were then divided among the 5th years to help around. Watching them doing extraction and help out with suction and equipments. Huhu...watching them...doing a LA, excavating the tooth was bloody and messy...and mind you, Tooth's are pretty stubborn... Looking at them 'gently' tucking it out from the socket... wohoo! Interesting... hehehe... that reminds me about my attachment few years ago at GH...
First time, was at the OT, watching the dentist with something looking like a hammer and a shovel or a screwdriver looking thing( dont knw the name then, dont knw it now either :P) hammering away the impacted tooth....u know like hammering a nail but to break it into pieces...
Dont worry you are on LA no pain! Hehe just a bit of feeling that the teeth is moving..crak crak like that only... hehe the pain comes...LATER...hehe after LA wears out then u wld be ouch ouch ...i cant eat :P
But anyway the 5th years were helpful and did teach us a few things :) Glad i made the effort... Hehe...scary la...thingy whats to come in years :( Haih... but its my job its my path... *sob sob*
Adiyos! :)
