Oslo
Back in Oslo, after 8 hours on the nite train...
Things to cover:-
Things to cover:-
- Vigelandsparken
- Bygdoy
- Akershus Slott
Vigelandsparken- named after Gustave Vigeland, sculptor, is Oslo largest park. The focal point of this park is the Monolith and his sculptures are artworks depicting humanity.
Next at Bygdoy we went to the Norsk Folkmuseum. Its like a walk through time to the past. Seeing the old towns , architecture and way of living in the olden days. Later in the evening, we went to Hukodden (beach area) and have a rest. The water there was rather chilly yet refreshing...
Later, we took a bus back to town and visit the Akershus Slott, 700 years old fortress still standing guard over Oslo to ward off all attempts to invade the city from sea.
That rounds up the trip in Norway, taking the nite train to Stockholm :)
